Hurricane Ian Victims Get Extended Filing Deadlines - All FL Residents

The IRS announced an extension of the deadlines for all Floridians affected by Hurricane Ian. Those affected have till 2/15/23 for filing and payments. If the hurricane affects other parts of the nation, the deadlines may also be extended there.

The filing deadlines are extended only for those with valid extensions. Since many states allow a Federal extension to stand in place of their own, those states will automatically allow the deadline to file.

For C-corporations with extensions, the new deadline applies as well

For Self-employed and those with installments due 1/15/23, the new deadline is now 2/15/23. View the official IRS announcement here.
